Overview: 

Microsoft Cloud represents one of the fastest-growing cloud businesses in the industry and is trusted by some of the world’s most iconic brands and institutions to power their digital transformation initiatives. To this end, Microsoft’s Cloud for ISV team, part of Microsoft’s Cloud & AI team, develops products for enterprise customers and partners across industries to accelerate the deployment/consumption of Microsoft Cloud Services.

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to deliver upon beachhead development work, integrated into key parts of the Microsoft platform and working closely with Cross Industry-centric ISVs and partners. The role will require user research, market analysis, and identifying key needs of 3rd-party ISVs and their customers. It involves collaboration with various product teams to deeply understand Microsoft cloud capabilities, gaps, and roadmap, then build products with the ISV engineering team that help ISVs and their customers succeed with Microsoft. The role works closely with engineering teams, marketing, GTM teams to collaborate as needed from a technical perspective with the partners.

Qualifications: 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 6+ years of demonstrated product management experience, preferably on a large-scale cloud service-based product.
  • Qualitatively and quantitatively data-driven, good problem-solving skills, and ability to think strategically, with a strong bias for action.
  • Ability to work independently in highly ambiguous environments.
  • Proficiency in Cloud technologies and services delivered by hyperscale cloud providers (Azure, AWS, Google).
  • Ability to conceptualize, visualize, and land compelling product integration journeys with partners and drive engineering to build solutions and services to realize these journeys.
  • History of successfully coordinating cross-team projects and collaborating with partners, both internal and external.
  • Track record of making trade-offs, negotiating, and building consensus, all while keeping the product goals in mind.

Preferred qualification: 

  • Experience in developing cloud technology products from inception to launch (0 to 1).
  • Background in hands-on technical implementation across various products/projects.
  • Bold enough to try, fail, learn, improve, and never be tired of doing this again and again.
  • Customer-obsessed with the focus to cut through the noise and build what our customers need and not always what they want.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Responsibilities:

  • Directing the strategy with a specific set of engineering/architecture resources to support the top Cross Industry ISV applications.
  • Encapsulate a deep understanding of the customer journey, onboarding experience, and pain points of cross-industry ISVs and partners.
  • Owning features end-to-end and utilizing data and insights to inform roadmap priorities and investment areas.
  • Driving rhythm of business activities within the team and across the org to ensure end-to-end success of initiatives.
  • Leading cross-group collaboration, driving decision action in partnership with others in a large organization, driving impact through influence and delivering results that depend on other divisions.
  • Owning deliverables, with clear prioritization and urgency to ship.
