Team Lead, Staff Application Engineer, Canonical Data Model by Google

About the job:
You lead all aspects of web development, requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, ongoing support, and maintenance for both in-house and customer-facing web applications. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of Googlers using UI and functional specs/prototypes as input. You are empowered to act like an owner, take action and innovate to meet user and customer needs.

Minimum qualifications:
- 10 years of experience working with web technologies, back-end systems, and coding in Java or Python.
- Experience in data integration and data modeling.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience building large scale data integrations.
- Knowledge of machine learning infrastructure and algorithms.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and deliver a generalized canonical data model platform that allows aggregation of domain specific data into canonical domain data models.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure that the data model is aligned with the business needs and that it is implemented in a way that is efficient and scalable.
- Drive analytics and machine learning for specific domains.
- Manage the data model platform lifecycle (e.g., documentation, testing, and maintenance).
