About the job:

Technical writers plan, create, and maintain educational content as an integral part of the engineering or user experience. The content is often in the form of documentation, but may also be UI text, sample code, videos, or other educational material. Regardless of the content medium, technical writers are distinguished by their abilities to explain complex topics in a way that’s useful to their audience.

In this role, you will be responsible for working with engineering and product management to document new features. You will also update the documents to address customer feedback and internal bug reports. You will have access to a team of writers in the Cloud organization, with opportunities to collaborate around tools, process, and innovation.

Minimum qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience in technical writing, product documentation, or online publishing.
  • Experience with Technical Writing, Technical Documentation, Content Management, Customer Focus.
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools and concepts, and video production using Videate tools.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience producing technical documentation for a technical audience and enterprise cloud services.
  • Experience with HTML or markdown.

Responsibilities:

  • Write technical documentation for developers and enterprise customers including concept docs, how-to guides, and API reference docs.
  • Manage complex documentation projects and take responsibility for the quality of your documentation.
  • Edit, clarify, and proofread documents written by others, and coach non-writers on ways to improve their writing skills.
  • Rewrite and reorganize existing documentation to improve the customer experience.
  • Design and organize documentation sets for new features.
