Job Description

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
5 years of experience with analysis applications (e.g., extracting insights, performing statistical analysis, or solving business problems), and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL).

Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree.
Experience in strategic analysis or operations management support (e.g., consulting, management reporting, Six Sigma certification).
Experience with experimental design, training, data analysis, survey design, and statistical modeling.
Ability to apply statistical training to real-world data.
Ability to complete projects separately and work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

In this role, you will join a new Data Science team in India to work on search India aiming to bring the best of Google to strategic countries by bringing a coordinated cross-product area strategy to our products as part of the framework.

Provide quantitative support, market understanding and a strategic perspective to our partners throughout the organization. Interact cross-functionally with a wide variety of teams, and work closely with Product Managers and Engineering leads to identify growth and quality opportunities for the product.
Work with large data sets and solve non-routine investigative issues, use problem-solving and statistical methods to the issues to measure quality, improve consumer products, and understand the behavior of end-users.
Make business recommendations with effective presentations of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders, and storytelling with data.
