About the job:

Unified Fulfillment Optimization (UFO) products manage, deploy, and optimize the Google fleet (Google production machines) which is the largest compute infrastructure on earth. The goal of the UX team is to deliver a frictionless user experience that customers love across the portfolio of products within UFO.

In this role, you will help develop and lead the complex and critical Google data center capacity product user experience. You will design and deliver the products that drive the analysis, planning, monitoring, automation, and optimization of delivering new serving capacity to Google data centers around the world. You will design user experiences that are truly intuitive and enable users to make critical decisions and take action efficiently – in a manner they can depend on and trust.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in UX Design.
  • Experience with Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or computer science.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in using UX tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Framer, etc.).
  • Experience working across organizational boundaries and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to turn ideas into functional prototypes.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop user journeys, mockups, prototypes, storyboards, and presentations to effectively communicate design ideas.
  • Translate complex workflows and system designs into elegant conceptual models.
  • Participate and drive design reviews.
  • Work with a cross-functional team to strategize and build compelling user-centric goals, including organizing people and processes for alignment.
  • Pitch and present concepts, proposals, and updates to executive stakeholders and translate complex concepts and interactions into simple, elegant, and coherent design.
