Job Description

As per the Companies (Cost Records and Audit) Rules 2014, maintenance of Cost Audit records and Cost Audit is mandatory for GHIAL and is required to maintain cost records and get the same audited.

Hence, apart from capturing the activity wise cost, cost of service / common deptt. also requires to be allocated across all the revenue stream. The cost records involves collation of enormous quantitative data, compare with the precious data in order to ensure its completeness, accuracy and correctness of the same since most of these details are maintained offline in excel files.

ORGANISATION CHART

Accountabilies:-

Get the quantitative data collection points and required cost report format created in the ERP package.

Preparation of cost centre wise AOP in the BPC module

Ensure proper accounting of cost to the correct cost centerProvide the awareness to the Concerned user and the team to capture the correct Cost Centre while accounting.

Allocation of service deptt. Cost Centre to other Cost center on periodical basis.

Monitoring of cost center wise cost with the AOP, Review and Monthly Analysis of cost center wise cost reports

Preparation of monthly Cost MIS.

Computation and timely submission of margin of all revenue streams and periodical comparison thereof to indicate the areas of improvement and cost which requires to be closely monitored / controlled.

Maintenance of cost records required to be maintained in order to comply with the Act.

Getting the Cost Audit performed from the Cost Auditors.

Timely submission of required details in relation to AERA filings.

Periodical review of the structure in order to update / develop the same for the changes taken place during the period.

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

Deduction and remittance of TDS of energy sector of Rs.100 crores (approx.)
Payment of income tax of energy sector of Rs.40 crores (approx.)
Properly Handling of Income tax assessment which would otherwise result in huge financial loss and litigations.
Turnover and Capital work-in-progress of energy sector aggregating to Rs.1,60,000 crores (approx.).

Other Dimensions

Interaction with various persons of income tax officials ( i.e. Range 11 (15 persons) , TDS section 15 persons, CPC 3 persons) and tax, internal and statutory auditors.

Education Qualifications

Chartered AccountanT

Relevant Experience

Minimum of 11 years of experience in handing income tax matters.
